Ministry Profile
Take a moment and look over the ministries we have here at Liberty Baptist Church. Our church is a laymen powered church. We do not have a large staff who does all the work. Our laymen (and women) are the workforce which drives our ministry forward.

Sunday School is one of the most exciting services in our church. Here at Liberty Baptist Church we LOVE Sunday School!!! It is not unusual to have more than 90% of our our Sunday morning crowd present in Sunday School. This happens because of the exciting atmosphere we have tried to create. We have five children's classes and four adult classes that meet every week. A nursery is provided for children from infant to three years of age. If you think that Sunday School is only for children, then THINK AGAIN! Below is a list of our classes and the ages they represent. CHILDREN'S CLASSES Nursery: Birth - 36 months 3-4 Years Old - Laura Box: Teacher K5 - 2nd grade boys and girls - Sheila Sink: Teacher 3rd - 4th grade boys - Steve Shephard: Teacher 5th - 6th grade boys - Dale Godwin: Teacher 3rd - 5th grade girls - Christi Wiese: Teacher 6th-12th grade girls - Rachel Ottaway: Teacher ADULT CLASSES Sisters And Friends Ladies Class - Gay Ottaway:Teacher Wisdom Seekers (Fifties and Above) - Barry Ottaway: Teacher Middle Men (Men's Class) - Samuel Ottaway: Teacher Preacher's Class - Mark Foster: Teacher Why not come out and join us at 10am Sunday morning? Nursery1Corinthians 15:51 ¶ "Behold........ We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed" One of the most important ministries in any church is the nursery ministry. The dear ladies who work in this ministry will no doubt receive some great rewards in Heaven! It is due to their willingness to serve in this area that we are able to have services without the distraction of crying babies. At Liberty Baptist Church we take our nursery department very seriously. We want to make sure that mothers and fathers can feel safe leaving their precious child in our care. While we do not require that babies be in the nursery, we feel that it is the best place for them to be, and we are confindent that once you see our facilities and our caring workers, you will have no trouble placing your precious bundle in our care. |
Junior ChurchHere at Liberty Baptist Church we are blessed with a healthy dose of young people. We believe that young people are the key to the next generation of strong churches, families, and communities. We take our responsibility to "train up a child" seriously. Our dedicated workers spend each Sunday morning conducting a service tailored directly to young people. Children up to 3rd grade may attend junior church if their parents desire them to do so. |
Children's ChiorOur Children's Choir ranges from ages 7 - 11. We meet every Sunday evening at 6pm for practice. During practice the choir learns several songs about Jesus, how to use their voices to serve God, and some music theory.They are given the opportunity to sing specials during the church service on a regular basis and to participate in the Christmas program each year. Be sure to ask the Pastor about this exciting opportunity for your young person! |
Soul Winning
Proverbs 11:30 ¶ The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise. The main job of the New Testament Church is Winning people to Christ. Before you can train them, you have to win them. Before you can help them grow, you have to win them. At Liberty Baptist Church we still believe in old fashioned door knocking! We have two times during the week that you can go out with other members of the church and pass out tracts and witness. We are still reaching people with this time proven, Biblical method. You will want to be a part of this! |
Cornerstone ClassOne of our newest classes at Liberty Baptist Church! The Cornerstone Class is a six week Bible doctrines class. At the completion of the class, members will receive a certificate and a new Bible! This class is great for new and old believers alike. Have you been saved recently? Why not attend and receive the help you need to get your new life in Christ started on the right foot? Have you been saved a while, but are afraid to answer even the most basic Bible questions?
